Chirimen is a silk-crepe, woven by crossing warp yarns having no twist, and highly twisted weft yarns. Its one of the most luxurious Japanese textiles.
Kasuri patterns have distinctive fuzzy edges and look as if they were splashed onto the fabric. Japanese word “kasuri” refers to these blurry, feather-edge patterns.
