★ RARE collector piece - Vintage Japanese Sukagawa Dorei bell by Mizushige Kikuchi  - Empress Jingu - HINA DOLL ★

Jingu is a legendary Japanese empress now venerated as a kami. She is a warrior queen with tremendous shamanic power, described as being divinely possessed. Empress Jingu has dominion over divination. She protects pregnancy, childbirth, children and may be petitioned for fertility and virtually anything.

Hime-sama provides abundance of good luck to devotees, remains an active shaman in the afterlife and will communicate with and sponsor spirit mediums.

This bell was created by Mizushige Kikuchi, who quit his job in 1970 and opened the Rokumo kiln in Sukagawa. After death of the artist in 1995, it was abolished after one generation.
